Tu B'Av; Full Moon of Love

Tu B'Av; literally the 15th of Av, is a festive and joyous holiday that is not so widely known. It immediately follows the saddest days on the Jewish calendar. Tu B'Av is a holy day in which the sadness of the earlier season is transformed into the purest juiciest potential. Tu B'Av is connected to the earliest stages of Tshuvah; return to Source in preparation for the High Holy Days that come a month and a half later.

In the days of the Temple in Jerusalem: unmarried women would dress in simple white clothing (so that the rich could not be distinguished from poor) and go out to sing and circle dance in the vineyards surrounding Jerusalem. The men who had not yet married, would go watch the song and circle dances to find their beloved among them.

Women could invite courtship with a wink of her eye.
This is a time to find love.
